Following what seems like forever in waiting, CodeIgniter has been updated. On the face of it not a major update, but great to see it’s still moving forward after nearly seven months standing still.

As well as the obvious bug fixes, there are improvements to the Form Helper, a new Cart Class, and compatibility with PHP 5.3.0. If you’re looking for a tight and fast PHP framework with a short learning curve then you could do much worse.
